Pro-Tip: Postmates was an overall great experience for me. Burger was still fresh and the fries came in nice and crunchy. Bottom-line: Super-Duper under-hyped. the 3.5/5 score lowballs for real. If you like Fatburger style smashburger, you're gonna love the double smashburger here. It shares the same essence but improves upon the formula making this burger superior in every way. Yes, it's expensive at 15 dollars. But quality is worthy the extra couple of dollars. The smashburger (double) is 3 ounces of amerian wagyu, hand-smashed and carmelized to perfection. Served with cheese, ketchup, mayo, mustard, onions, and pickles. Fatburger uses relish, which is the defining ingredient that separates the two. Murder she wrote uses a soft squishy bun that allows the razor-sharp patty more breathing room to show off it's body. And the crust is razor sharp and a work of art. The burger is so razor sharp on the edges it looks like a buzzsaw blade. It's picturesque perfect. I do like me the smashburgers that uses the special sauce, onions, cheese with jalapenes, but you know what, call me crazy, but I enjoy my burger with toppings. To me its snobbish to automatically assume ketchup/mayo debased the burger. It makes it... well... more American. And in many cases enhances the experience. And America is awesome. The fries are brown bagged fries, but a little smaller and semi-curled. I enjoyed the crunchier crispy taste, and if they were overdone, it still tasted great as dark brown. Would definitely come back to try the Oklahoma burger. Never had that. 5/5 stars

First time trying this place and it was incredible!!! Reyna, at the counter, was super friendly. I loved the hand cut fries, and a burger is never complete without pickles. Will be back again

Ordered a burger and fries. Fryer was broken, apparently. Probably should have been a sign on the door . Kind of weird service- little bit rude and annoyed? She could not be bothered. Not friendly. Just annoyed to serve. . Small burger. Got the Oklahoma. Single. Which is a smash burger with onions . They use Hawaiian rolls. It was honestly, a delicious burger. Sad about the fries.

I'm still on the hunt for LAs best burger. Our next stop, burger she wrote. I ordered the double Oklahoma smash burger and a side of fries. Loved it. The fries had a great texture and weee skated perfectly. They even had a hint of black pepper, which I appreciated. I got the burger as suggested, with everything. I normally hate ketchup, but here it worked. Loved the cook on the beef, seasoned perfectly, and the toppings were great. It was a little smaller than some of the other smash burgers I've had - but still very good. It's now in my top 3. So now for my new rankings. 1. Easy Street 2. For the win (essentially a tie - easy street is a 5, For the win is a 4.99) 3. Burger She Wrote 4. Heavy Handed 5. Burgers Never Say Die 6. Goldburger I would definitely eat at 1-3 any day of the week. Not going back to 4-6.

A solid smash burger. Prefer the option with grilled onions. Don't pass on the fries. They're perfectly cooked with ground pepper on top. There is bar top seating inside with a few tables out in the front. Service is fast. There is no public restroom.

Came to the Venice Beach location! Greattttttt location. Food was MIDS! The fries looked like they could've been the best ever but were not fresh. The burger looked like it would've been the one by seeing all the TikTok's and IG reels prior to coming. I was not overly impressed in comparison to other local Smash burger restaurants and competitors.

Freaking delicious smash burgers. Honestly their menu is minimal and simple. Burger and fries. What more do you really need when those two things were created by the culinary gods and goddesses. But for real; they've perfected their burgers so there isn't a need for anything else. They know what they've got and this is what you'll want. Tip: they don't have a ton of seating but we like grabbing from here and then taking it over to Pan Pacific Park which is just a few steps away
